balance of materials.” Moving forward, Ryan says that Hallbury Homes will continue to pursue that kind of acclaim as they grow – and they do intend to grow, just not necessarily outside of their home city. “We’re not really interested expanding outside of Melbourne,” Ryan says. “We really love Melbourne – the people, the culture, the trades, the suppliers. We’ve really built our roots deep here in the community so we want to stay here.” “Where we do want to grow is internally,” he adds. “We want to get better at what we do. We want to become more efficient. We want to become more sustainable. We want to keep delivering homes that are better, and better and better.” In 1990, Hallbury Homes was founded with the goal of being the leading custom home builder in Melbourne. Thirty years later – they celebrated their 30th anniversary as a registered builder earlier this year – the company is closer than ever to achieving that goal, but they are not satisfied. “We want to keep moving forward,” Ryan concludes. “We want to push boundaries of design.
