Concretus | 7 ships with various suppliers, which ensures we can complete the requirements of all our projects in a timely and cost effective manner.” Even after a project is concluded, Concretus’ support goes above and beyond. They offer a two-year workmanship warranty on all of their concrete products. “None of our competitors offer that,” Kevin says. “I’ve never seen it anywhere else in all my years of business.” Concretus also trains apprentices, Kevin adds – another fact that helps to set the company apart from the competition. “We actually just had the very first concrete apprentice to ever complete his apprenticeship in WA,” he says. “We are very committed to growing the industry, and to developing young people for new jobs – ones that are quite lucrative at that.” “The last thing that sets us apart is our dedication to what we call the customer’s peace of mind,” he concludes. “All of our supervisors and trades are highly qualified and adhere to the strictest health and safety protocols. We comply with all state license requirements, as well as the necessary insurance for every job.” THE TRUTH IN NUMBERS Concretus currently employs six staff, two concrete trainees and over 17 concrete subcontract teams. With those talented staff members, the company placed over 1,200 ground slabs for residential homes in 2008/2009 financial year alone – plus a numerous quantity of suspended slabs, garage hardstands, and precast floors. Moving forward, Kevin hopes to maintain and grow those numbers. More importantly, however, he wants to maintain and grow the company’s reputation. “Our vision is for Concretus to be the most reliable and most respectable concrete provider there is,” he says. “We also want to evolve, of course – around 70 to 80 percent increase in staffing seems about right. But primarily we want to be able to meet and exceed all our customer’s expectations, whatever those may be.”
