Heisig Constructions | 3 Heisig Constructions is a family-owned building company that prides themselves on offering a personal touch. The owners of the business personally supervise every project, providing the client with direct contact and care throughout the design and construction of their high quality new homes – which are unique every time. Over the years, Heisig has become established as a “highly awarded company with a local focus, and a commitment to personalised customer service,” says Marcus Arber, one of the business owners. “We personalise every aspect of our service,” Marcus says. “We design and construct, and we give our clients exactly what they’re looking for. We have the ability and the history to back that up.” Heisig Constructions was founded in 1970 by husband and wife teamGeorge and Carol Heisig. George came from a background in both the residential and commercial building industries, and built many different structures over the course of a long and successful career. With Carol’s help,

Since that point, the company has been run by second generation owners Steve Heisig, Cheri Heisig, andCheri’s husbandMarcus – all of whom have been with the company for many years, and bring their own considerable experience to the table. Steve, Cheri andMarcus are backed by a truly professional Admin Team, Sales Department and Site Supervisor and recognise that the quality of homes is the result of consistent, reliable and quality performance of employees and trade contractor staff. “We’ve all learned the Heisig way,” Marcus says. “George and Carol set a really high standard for doing custom-designed homes, and we just try to live up to that.” Today, Heisig’s head office is based in Capalaba, Queensland, and the company generally work within an hour radius of that location. They specialise in architecturally-designed custom homes, and they do a lot of demolition-recycle-rebuild jobs. Their projects have ranged from $200,000 to $1.5 million, and have included every type of construction – from small lot housing tolow set homes, to two-storey homes, three-storey homes with lifts, and more. GETTING THE BEST Over the years, one of the main focuses of Heisig Constructions has been “keeping it in the family,” Marcus says. Not only is Heisig a second generation family-owned business, but so are many of the companies they subcontract to. This means that all parties are equally invested in maintaining a strong relationship and doing quality work

When he joined the company, George taught him the intricacies of the building and design industries. Today, Marcus designs each Heisig Home, while Steve builds and estimates. They both work closely with every single one of the company’s clients, getting to know them personally, and offering them direct access if they have any questions or concerns about the process. Personalised customer service is very important for Heisig Constructions, so they make sure they are never taking on too many projects at one time. “We limit our turnover so ‘People who invest

Because the company is never working on more projects than he and Steve can personally handle, the owners are able to keep a “tight hand on the reins,” and only have to work with contractors they know can deliver the quality they expect. Moving forward, Marcus says he and Steve aim to keep their hands on those reins. Throughout the company’s long history they have grown to various different sizes, so they have the luxury of being able to look back and decide what works best for them and their clients – and that’s the size they are currently at. “The clients we build projects for come to us because of what we do and who we are, and we’re not going to change that,” Marcus says. “We’re going to consistently deliver the product that we’re renowned for.”
