Neil says they were able to overcome those difficulties due to detailed planning, as well as by staying in constant contact and communication with the various stakeholders – which Neil reiterates is a priority on all their jobs. “The key to the successful delivery of any project is to understand what the client’s expecting, and what the other stakeholders are expecting,” he explains. According to theMBA judges, the result on the Qantas Jet Base project was “a satisfied client with a facility that sets a benchmark for further work.” Neil further credits that result to the high quality of the company’s project team. He says that each project team is made up of both their direct staff and trusted subcontractors. Many of the people in both those groups have been working with Neil and Scott for more than five years, and some have even been working with Inaphase for over a decade. “Consistency of staff is important,” Neil says. “That ensures that we’re all like-minded in how we approach things, and we all have a similar understanding of how projects are supposed to work.
