They clearly have a lot of experience and knowledge about our business and the risks that are involved, so we buddy those guys up with new employees and make sure new starters are familiar with the workplace hazards before working their way into other sections of the process.” In the coming years, Spillett says Industrial Galvanizers would like to achieve “worldclass sustainability” in regards to both environmental performance and workplace health and safety whilst simultaneously concentrating on the business’s top-line growth. He also acknowledges that they need to have the systems and practices in place to reach those goals as well as be able to “attract and retain the best people” for the long-term growth of the organisation.
