By drawing on the material stockpiled on the ground, increasing their production levels, and by dramatically increasing their number of trucks on the go, Quarrico were able to meet that customer’s delivery deadline – and they did while still fulfilling their commitments to other customers “Although we do prefer to have longer leadin times for such large volumes of product, we are able to increase our capacity levels when required,” Zarb says. In general, Quarrico takes their relationships with customers very seriously. Their sales team works closely with their on-site personnel and crushing and haulage subcontractors to track deliveries, ensuring they reach customers on time and avoid unnecessary delay. And if customers require assistance, Zarb himself is always contactable, even after hours. “We just try and help as best we can,” Zarb says, summarising the company’s customer service philosophy. Quarrico has also developed very strong relationships with subcontractors, who Zarb acknowledges are vital to delivering their high quality products and service.
