He personally designs almost every house that the company builds, especially when working with new clients for the first time. According to Peter, each home built by Seacrest Homes is unique because each client has different needs and wants. As such, he works very closely with every client to ensure they receive a finished product that provides them with absolutely everything they are looking for. Seacrest Homes is an innovative residential construction company that has been serving the Perth Metropolitan Region and its surrounding areas since 1997. Peter describes it as an exclusive, upmarket home with a “very modern elevation.” “Everybody who has seen it is spellbound by it,” Peter declares. “They’re in love with it because it’s such a good-looking home that feels right and feels nice on the inside.” “We used products like Alucobond and Alpolic cladding on the underside of the eaves to give the home a more modern look,” he adds. “Each of the kids’ bedrooms is actually self-contained with its own bathroom. The master suite has an exclusive library retreat with a fantastic ensuite. The library was actually fit-out entirely in leather, so all of the cabinets, tops and the rest were covered and lined with leather. Seacrest Homes | it turned out rather nice.” The display home also features intricate ceiling designs, a stylish curved kitchen and a high degree of cutting edge technology. For example, they used “kilometres of LED rope lighting” inside the coffers to highlight the aforementioned ceilings and installed a state-of-the-art shower system that is completely hands-free − the first of its kind in Australia. “There’s only one that I know of that’s been done in New Zealand, so it’s very exclusive,” says Peter. “It doesn’t have taps or anything like that. It’s more computerised, where you punch in what you want the shower to do in terms of things like massage, standard shower, and even a pulsating feature that plays along with the music. It’s a very different type of shower that we’ve used here.” Peter explains that Seacrest Homes wanted to do “something a little bit different from what everybody else is doing around town” with the display home by incorporating the latest technologies into its design, including home automation. “In this case, we really wanted to display
| Seacrest Homes technology and showcase what we can actually do and what level we can take it to,” he says. “Wireless technology is used to control features within the home such as lighting and air conditioning; in other words, it’s used to run the home, so you can’t do things without an iPad running around the house. For example, to run the pool and its corresponding water features, you need an iPad to command that.” “It’s an upmarket type of home with all this newer technology wedged into it. It’s not for everyone, but there are many people who are computer-minded and like this type of technology, and if you do, you’re going to like this home.”
Seacrest Homes | Over the course of their 18-year history, Seacrest Homes has steadily gained traction within Perth’s upper market residential building industry, establishing a brand name that is well-known for delivering high quality, customised outcomes to local homebuyers throughout the region. However, Peter explains that the company is still eager to acquire “a larger percentage of what’s going on out there.” “We’re there, but not quite to the top level yet,” he says. “Seacrest Homes is actually moving towards apartment block building, which is getting stronger in Perth. 2015 is probably going to be the launching pad of that, when a lot of our apartment block building is starting to happen.” Peter sees these apartment block developments as being a key component of the company’s success moving forward, particularly in the “affordable luxury sort of brand of apartments.” Nevertheless, he predicts that the company will also stay true to their roots for the foreseeable future. “I think that within the next five years more apartment buildings will be coming forward to us, and we’re doing a few developments ourselves, so we’re finding that’s where the future is going to lead,” he indicates. “However, I think we’ll still be doing what we’re doing today, and that’s building exclusive homes.
