8 | Select Civil have taken on everything frm a sewage treatment plant to a prison. The St. Georges Basin and Callala Bay Treatment Plant Upgrade project was commissioned by Shoalhaven Water, the owners and operators of the treatment plants located in that area. The design, project management and construction supervision was undertaken by the Department of Commerce on behalf of ShoalhavenWater. Select Civil was appointed the Principal Contractor for the work, valued at approximately five million and expected to last for nine months. A new correctional centre was commissioned by the Department of Correctional Services, with constructed slated for along the South Coast. The design, project management and construction supervisionwas undertaken by the RichardCrookes Constructions, while Select Civil was appointed the Civil Contractor for the project. Their scope of work on that project included construction of an access bridge and roadway, construction of road pavements, car parking, and tennis courts, as well as both bulk and detailed earthworks. InAshfield, a sewer connection shaftwas excavated by Select Civil for Leighton Contractors, as part of a new pipeline construction to span Liverpool to Ashfield.
