| Shoalhaven City Council cil is also looking to begin building the Northern Shoalhaven Indoor Sports Centre, a brand new four-court indoor basketball stadium. Moreover, Council is currently developing a couple of large industrial estates to help create more jobs in Shoalhaven, whilst simultaneously providing great investment opportunities throughout the region. Shoalhaven is an attractive option for land developers looking to build close to major city centres due to its close proximity to both Canberra and Sydney, offering a very competitive price point without compromising on location. “From a town planning, bigger picture point of view, it’s a great place to be looking for investment,” adds Craig. With a wide variety of major projects underway, Shoalhaven City Council needs the support of a strong and dependable supply chain − and they have just that. “We turn over about $300 million a year as an organisation, and to do that we have to have really strong partnerships with our local suppliers,” Craig says. “We go through pretty regular tender processes to ensure we’re getting the right price from a competitive market, and the relationships we have are very positive. We are thrilled to see the level of investment we have in the city.”
