Sovereign Building Company | 9 The company won an award for its first job out the gate, and has not slowed down since. Over the years, they have won numerous accolades from both the HIA and MBA, including awards for Perth’s Best New Builder in 2011, as well as Best Customer Service and Display Home of the Year in 2010. “Those awards are won for exceptional workmanship,” David says. “So to win is a massive achievement.” “We always strive for excellence,” he adds. “Not only in terms of initial quality, but in terms of liveability as well. We’ll go over and above the building codes of Australia to deliver a product that has minimal maintenance, and is just a joy to live in.” Most recently, at the 2013 Bankwest-MBA Awards, Sovereign BuildingCompany was awarded the prize for Contract Home in the $400,000 to $500,000 category. The award-winning home was built on Frithville Road, and David credits the victory to the dedication of the building team – from the supervisor down to the tradespeople. “The care taken by our team on that job was exceptional,” he explains. “And it’s not unique to that job – we always deliver a high quality service to our clients, subcontractors and suppliers. We’re very organised, which provides a quality product to our client, and a pleasant working experience to our contractors.” A WELL-KNOWN BRAND David says that the vision for Sovereign Building Company is “not to build thousands of homes a year.” They never want to grow big enough to compromise the attention to detail and service
