NOVEMBER 2021 him that there was a sort-of stigma around builders and the homebuilding process. He found that clients expected builders to underquote and overcharge them, and that they expected the process to be stressful and combative. “I founded Dion Group Projects with the goal of eliminating the stigma,” George explains. “I didn’t believe that building a luxury home had to be stressful. I wanted to start a company that would provide not only great products, but a great service as well.” Providing a ‘great service,’ George believes, means being there for clients every step of the way, from“end-to-end.” “We work closely with architects, interior designers, and engineers,” he says. “Clients usually come to us with a block of land and a dream. Sometimes the land is vacant, sometimes there’s a home that needs to be knocked down or renovated. From there, we take care of everything all the way to completion.” A great service also means “constant communication,” George adds. He believes that communication is the difference between Dion Group and a lot of other high-end luxury builders. “It’s all well and good to deliver a great home. A lot of companies can do that. But their clients are frustrated because projects run over budget and take longer than expected, and the client doesn’t know what’s going on. That leads to bad relationships.” With Dion Group, the relationships stay strong because the clients always understand what’s happening
