A lot of builders will say ‘Hey, come back to me when you’ve got full approval and we’ll start the pricing process then,’ but that’s not how we do it. We’re there from the beginning, we’re chiming in, we’re making sure the plans suit the budget, and we’re making sure that the client’s expectations are aligned with what they’re going to get.” “A lot of the time, architects can get a little bit carried away and lose sight of the budget,” Jason continues. “Or sometimes, they won’t quite know what something will cost to build, because they’re not builders themselves. So it’s a huge part of our role to make sure that we’re working within the client’s expectations and budget.
