CA Architects strives to create positive impacts on the environment and local community, as seen in two recent interconnected and multi-award-winning projects: the Cairns Performing Arts Centre and the Munro Martin Parklands. The Cairns Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) is Queensland’s largest regional performing arts centre, located on a site with a lengthy history connected to the community and the arts. CA Architects, in collaboration with Cox Architecture, designed a completely new facility to meet the needs of local arts organisations and big touring organisations such as the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Oz Opera, among others. Meanwhile, the Munro Martin Parklands served as a cultural hub in Cairns. The park has seen several name changes, served as a command centre, and hosted several sporting and social events.
