time working for his father’s company. “We have great relationships with our subcontractors and trades. When we went out on our own, we took on a lot of Brett’s father’s trades, suppliers and sales reps. We’ve been working with some of our partners since before starting our own business.” Naturally, however, a lot of their original partners have retired over the years, and Brett Ward Homes has also had to build new relationships with subcontractors and trades. Kirsty says they have been successful at building those relationships because they are a company that “people love coming to work for.” “They know exactly where we stand. They know we have really high expectations of their work, and I think they really enjoy producing beautiful high quality homes. They know they don’t have to come back for defects and maintenance calls because we get it right the first time.” “We’ve been very fortunate throughout these past few years with suppliers and trades,” she adds. “Our loyalty to trades and suppliers has paid dividends and we have been able to get materials and tradesmen all thanks to the relationships we have cultivated over the last two decades.” THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE AUSTRALIA
