The Construction Source Australia

As examples of what CA Architects is capable of – and the kind of impact they strive to create with their work – Carlo cites two recent interconnected and multi-award-winning projects: the Cairns Performing Arts Centre and the Munro Martin Parklands. The Cairns Performing Arts Centre (CPAC) is Queensland’s largest regional performing arts centre, located on a site with a long history connected to the community and the arts. There, CA Architects, in association with Cox Architecture, designed an all-new facility that could cater to the specific needs of local arts organisations as well as major touring companies including the Queensland Symphony Orchestra and Oz Opera, among others. The Munro Martin Parklands, meanwhile, has also long been a cultural centre of Cairns. Over the years, the park has had several name changes, it has been used as a command centre, and it has held a long list of sporting and social events. Making an impact MAY 2023
