themselves a lot of opportunity to grow. “There are only so many multi-million dollar homes you can build per year before you start losing the quality control,” Kirsty explains. “That’s not acceptable to us, so we can only grow so much in that market – whereas with the smaller builds, we can build more while still maintaining a strong quality control process, so that’s where we think there is the opportunity to grow the business.” As for much of that opportunity they want to seize, that remains to be seen. To some extent, Kirsty says that will be up to their son, who is coming up through the business now. They hope he might take over the company eventually, and the family business will continue on.
