The company has been in business since 1974. When the original owner passed away, Tony and four other individuals purchased it from the surviving spouse in 1991. Today, Tony and his business partner, Peter Wisniewski, are two of those original directors still with Extend a Home. They have a combined 80 years of experience in the construction industry. Tony started working in construction straight out of high school in 1977 as an apprentice carpenter and joiner. He has experience in both commercial and residential construction. He began supervising new home construction in 1987 leading him to his career with Extend a Home. “I was 17 when I started in the industry and 33 when I started here,” he says.
