Aaron Ruyter, business development manager at Aliya Homes, says the company focuses on the “one-off, noncookie cutter build.” “A traditional floor plan where everybody gets the same thing was not the idea,” he explains. “We focus more on the oneoff, knock down rebuild. Say mom and dad, they’ve got a block, and they want to build a new family home. A client who has sat with an architect and designed something amazing. Something that’s their vision.” “It’s a relatively new company, but the trading name, the Aliya Homes name, is quite an old name,” Aaron says about the background of the business. “That’s the trading name that was registered. “The CEO and the director came away from another building company that was heading in a direction that they didn’t really like in terms of the focus. Aliya Homes started formally trading as Aliya Homes in late 2022, November last year. with a different vision, with more of a focus on the higher-end product, the custom design, the architectural design.” With that vision in mind, the Aliya Homes leadership began to assemble their team. “They headhunted people that could probably make it happen, so in the last eight months, we’ve built a team here and it’s an incredibly skilled team,” Aaron says. “We’ve covered a lot of ground in a really short time.
