The project received the Australian National Award for best use of residential Australian made products. “We used two-and-a-half kilometres of Australian black butt timber on all the doors, joinery, garage door, and hallways,” says Kyle. The 12-monthlong build was featured on various TV and online platforms. When the Asgard build won its award, Kyle took all 33 team members to the awards ceremony, all expenses paid. Kyle realizes Zanetto Builders is only as good as their people, and he shares his successes with all the staff. “This is how we treat staff and clientele,” he says. “We’ve always been known in Tasmania to have one of the best company cultures through what we do to invest in the team. That’s reciprocated on site with how they treat the business and our clientele.” Kyle’s attention to detail and customer satisfaction flows into the company’s positive relationships with their suppliers and contractors. “I’m pretty particular due to the way we build and our on-site expectations with who I partner with,” says Kyle. “I have two of every subtrade, and on each one of my projects they tender against each other competitively. I’ve been working with these people for years I also understand the quality of workmanship they provide and they know my expectations regarding things like site cleanliness and anything to do with building.
