“So, we are thinking possibly in the short term we might start looking at expanding interstate whether that’s Brisbane and Melbourne, but we tend to try and grow organically. If the opportunities arise, we’re probably going to start teasing those, but for now Sydney keeps us busy.” “Usef and I are looking more at the operational side of the business and the details of running it. We are looking at growth less in terms of numbers or staff and more in terms of efficiency in what we’re doing and how we manage the operation, looking at our office procedures. things like estimating and costing,” Michael continues. “We’re basically looking at overhauling most of the systems we use in the office to become more efficient and essentially try to take on more work, take on more turnover with the same amount of staff which we have already started to achieve,” he says. “Our turnover has probably risen by about 50 or so percent and our staff numbers have stayed the same. Once we get those efficiencies in place if there is more work on the table and we are able to grow our numbers organically, then that’s something we’ll be looking at as well.” MARCH 2024
