We get round to the job sites all the time.” “We do the colour and tile selections personally with our clients,” says Jarred. “We’re there every step of the way from design selection and building to cleaning and landscaping.” “We’re super thankful to our subcontractors and our clients that trust us with their builds,” says Mark. “We appreciate that. A lot of this business is word of mouth. That comes from good business and good relationships.” Now that both of Mark’s sons are on board, he says he’s going to take a step back so they can continue their journey. “We’re looking to make a bit of a push,” he says. “Not grow so big that we lose the personal touch, but enough that we have more workflow and make more of a name for ourselves and grow into larger custom homes with Jarred’s experience building larger custom homes.” Jarred agrees with his father, saying their award recognition from the Master Builders will bring more projects and a better workflow so they can grow and step into some of those higher end projects. He believes the company’s longstanding history and reputation in the region will also help them to take the next steps. He says the foundation is already built – they just need to add to it. “We’ve built several homes for the second generation – children of people who we built for 25 years ago,” says Joel. “Once we do one job for a client, word of mouth brings us projects for their other family members.” SEPTEMBER 2024
