Tonic Projects is a Queensland-based construction and fitout company that has been providing custom building solutions to the commercial and residential sectors for almost 15 years. In that time, they have worked with a diverse range of clients, including architects, retailers, commercial, and private clients. No matter the client and no matter their project, however, their goal has always been the same – to raise the standards of construction and to be flexible and customize the project to suit the individual needs of the client to suit the project goals. “We enjoy the challenge of custom and boutique projects,” says Sean Chapman, the company’s founder and director. “We’re not a volume builder. We’re not a cookie cutter builder. We don’t do 100 projects a year. We take one-off projects that we like and that presents a bit of a challenge.” These days, Tonic Projects typically does a lot of hospitality venues such as restaurants, bars and hotels, with values usually ranging from $500,000 to $5 million range. In the recent past, they have also done some drive-thrus, service stations, and childcare centres. They also complete custom / architectural residential builds – often times for clients they know and have had previous building relationships with. Geographically, most of Tonic’s projects are in Brisbane and South East Queensland region. “We’ve done works in Sydney and Melbourne for existing clients, however in recent times the building industry in the southeast has been strong and this is where all of our current projects are,” says Sean.
