According to Sean, that was one of their most notable projects to date. “This was a landmark development using an iconic location on an iconic beach,” says Sean. “Not too many opportunities you get to build in a great location like that with great clients.” A new build in late 2023, the Kirra Beach Hotel was established in 1956. The hotel won the’ Best Outdoor/Non Enclosed Facility’ award and ‘Best Redeveloped Hotel General Division’ award from the Queensland Hotel Association in June 2024. Additionally, Tonic’s custom building solutions were also key to helping another client, Aria Property Group, to win the award for ‘Best Development.’ “We’re pretty humble ourselves,” says Sean. “We don’t enter competitions, but a lot of projects we’ve been part of have gone on to win awards in their relevant associations and categories.
