commercial work, and they do most of their work in a 300-kilometre radius of their showroom in Mildura. “We have done a bit of work in Melbourne and we’re looking into doing more commercial work Melbourne way as well,” says Simon. “We do a bit of everything. A lot of private home renovations, new home builds and commercial work. The projects range from pubs, clubs, schools, hospitals, child care centres, and cafés to fire stations. “It never ends. With this broad range of projects, every day is different. It doesn’t get boring.” The company also deals with a great variety of materials, depending on what the architect specifies regarding the commercial projects. The MACU Kitchens difference is great customer service, says Justine. “Our belief with our staff is, if you wouldn’t be happy with it in your own home, don’t put it in. Everyone has to be proud and happy to finish the project. It has to be 100 per cent right.” Simon adds that it’s MACU Kitchens’ flexibility that also stands out. “We can organize other trades for people. A lot of people now don’t want to do that. We can organize the total job from start to finish.” “We tell our clients anything can be built, we just need to find a way to do it.,” says Justine. “There are no limitations on what our client wants.” This attitude has led to a lot of repeat work over the past 20 yeas. “We did a lot of our customers’ kitchens ten years ago,” says Justine. “They’ve moved and they want a new kitchen, or their adult kids will come in for their joinery needs as well.” THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE AUSTRALIA
