This meticulous approach was on full display in one of the company’s most challenging projects to date: Vastu on Oak. Located in Oak Beach near Port Douglas and facing true East, the home recently earned ORR MADE the 2024 Master Builders President’s Award. It was a highly technical build, requiring exceptional understanding of Vastu principles, wind load paths, water management, and solar performance—all under intense regional site restrictions. “This was not just about design and building. It was about architecture, landscape, engineering, environmental conditions, compliance and the people behind it,” Matt explains. The project brought together global minds, with consultants contributing from India, New Zealand and around the world. “Every meeting felt like an international design forum,” Rhiannon adds.
