from small under $100,000 jobs to new two or three-story builds worth over $1 million,” she says. I bring people together to pursue a shared vision to achieve what was previously thought impossible.” She says that there are easier ways to get results, but you have to be willing to approach a project from a different angle or perspective. “We understand the importance of a comprehensive project brief and site-specific research,” she says. “We work closely with many reputable service providers, contractors, and consultants who can provide advice and recommendations where needed.” Sofie values her relationships with these secondary providers on her projects. “Depending on the value of the project, there are some contractors I work with thatI’ve had relationships with for five years or more who I’ve personally delivered renovation projects with in the past so that helps a lot. We also have relationships with providers who are suited to new builds as well. In terms of other contractors, or consultants, we are open minded as to who is the right fit for the project as it’s about managing the relationships and being able to determine what’s the right fit when the client wants a particular contractor.” Before Haus of Creations, Sofie was an accomplished designer at other firms. She was the project lead on an affordable housing retirement living project in Brisbane, which was an award recipient. FEBRUARY 2025
