Clarke’s Design & Construct is an expert industrial and commercial builder based in South East Queensland, born from director Andrew Clarke’s vision to bridge the gap between what the industry was delivering and what clients were expecting. In order to bridge that gap, he created a company based on the values of adaptability, collaboration, integrity, and communication. He also created a company that could shepherd a project from startto-finish, from planning and feasibility through to construction and handover. That way, they could better manage quality control, save clients time and money, and eliminate surprises by keeping clients informed every step of the way. Andrew Clarke has personally been in the construction industry since 1989. He first formed his own company, called Clarke’s Project Management, in the mid-2000s, where he began managing the construction process for commercial and industrial builders and property developers. However, he quickly realized the downsides of not having control over the whole process. He learned that clients were receiving poor advice while also getting hit with hidden variations and fees that blew out costs. Responding to this, he expanded Clarke’s to encompass all elements of the design and construction process, allowing clients to draw on his wealth of knowledge and expertise and eliminate the challenges they faced when working with multiple contractors. Today, Clarke’s Design & Construct is based in Arundel on the Gold Coast, and their service area covers a 150 square kilometers radius from southeast Queensland to the northern parts of New South Wales.
