The Construction Source Australia

Jeff believes that the MBA are an important event for the industry, as it shines a light on the quality workmanship and outstanding expertise that Master Builders are renowned for. He also says it’s important to participate in bodies like the MBA, as construction in Australia is facing some tough challenges right now – including ongoing labor shortages, a 40 percent jump in material costs in the last three years, and red tape hampering builders’ ability to get on with the job during the housing crisis. However, as last year’s awards have proven, determination, skill, and sheer hard work can deliver outstanding results, even in difficult times. Ingenuity, tenacity, and superior craftsmanship abound as was seen at North Queensland’s 2024 Housing & Construction Awards. The event was held at The Ville Resort-Casino this past August. Jeff believes the future of Lifestyle Constructions NQ will be very good. “We’re pretty established now. We’re about to move out of the place we’ve been leasing for the past 20 years. We acquired a site a year and a half ago on Bayswater Road that’s close to an acre in size and we are building a 1700 square meter office and factory.” The goal is to move into the new facility in the first or second quarter of 2025. “Once we have our grand opening and people can see our capabilities we expect to double in size over the next twoto-three years,” he says.
