Celebrated for its ingenuity and collaborative spirit, CPR Engineers is marking two decades of transforming visionary designs into practical, robust structures. Founded in March 2005 on a foundation built by David Combe and Associates—a company that had earned an impressive reputation over the preceding 20 years—CPR Engineers has steadily carved out its niche in South Australia’s competitive building industry. Today, the firm not only stands as a leader in civil and structural engineering innovation but also as a trusted partner for architects, clients, and industry professionals. According to Director David Reynolds, “CPR’s evolution has been a journey from strength to strength.” Emphasizing that the early days— powered by a portfolio of high-caliber residential and smaller commercial projects from David Combe’s legacy—laid the groundwork for a vibrant future. In a recent milestone move, the firm welcomed Mark Stewart and Mark Billinger as its newest Directors. “Their immense contribution and dedication are integral to carrying the spirit of CPR into the next phase of growth,” he noted. From its inception, CPR Engineers has been defined by its collaborative approach. Acting as a secondary consultant to architects, the firm is renowned for its ability to balance bold creative vision with the practicality of structural engineering. “We love working on complex building projects with challenging structural design,” Reynolds affirms. “Our role is to find that balance between achieving that creative, out-there look and ensuring the structure is both feasible and cost-effective.” This philosophy was vividly demonstrated in one of CPR Engineers’ landmark projects: the d’Arenberg Cube in McLaren Vale. Modeled on a Rubik’s Cube, the project was conceived as a wine tasting and art showcase and restaurant facility THE CONSTRUCTION SOURCE AUSTRALIA
