The Construction Source Australia

Community engagement is another pillar of CPR Engineers’ work. The company has played a significant role in the ongoing development of St. Peter’s Girls’ School in Stonyfell. Over the years, the firm has been involved in multiple upgrades, including the addition of a new science and art centre, as well as the development of a stateof-the-art two-court indoor stadium and music learning facility. “Walking through that school, I did recognize some of the names on the honour board from the old school days,” Reynolds says. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see the growth of the young women that come out of that school, including my goddaughter.” This personal connection underscores the firm’s commitment to building environments that foster learning and growth. CPR Engineers has also embraced the evolving landscape of construction delivery models, notably the design and construct (D&C) approach. Unlike traditional projects initiated solely by architects, D&C projects involve direct engagement with builders from the early design stages, adding another layer of complexity. “Working on D&C projects adds another layer of challenge,” Reynolds explains. “When you’re engaged directly by the builder, there’s a harsher reality to design that demands efficiency from the outset.” One recent success in this arena is the Aquatic Centre for the City of Salisbury, managed by Mossop Constructions. Featuring an indoor pool, outdoor pool, gymnasium, and change rooms, the centre was delivered under stringent time and budget constraints, proving the firm’s adeptness at balancing design ambitions with practical limitations.
