It’s a philosophy that runs through every part of the business. Founded with a focus on utility and infrastructure projects, IPC has built its reputation through reliability and responsiveness rather than selfpromotion. “We’ve built step by step,” Adam notes. “We don’t chase every opportunity; we take on projects that suit our people and where we can deliver real value.” These days, IPC handles a wide spectrum of projects, ranging from short-term repairs to multiyear contracts. The company works primarily with government agencies, including Sydney Water, on projects that can range from around $500,000 for smaller repairs to $2.5 million annually for ongoing network maintenance. “The ongoing projects keep the boys going, and then we take on other projects where we can—sometimes three months in duration, sometimes longer,” Adam explains. While these contracts may not make headlines, they require precision, speed, and consistency. “This kind of work isn’t glamorous,” he says, “but it’s what keeps systems operating. You need people who understand that reliability is everything.” Behind that reliability is a close-knit team that reflects IPC’s values. The company currently employs about 14 staff directly, supported by around 15 subcontractors who often travel for projects.
