This client-centric model is mirrored in the company’s internal culture. build2grow operates with a small, tight-knit team of four employees: Michael, a site manager (his brother), a contract administrator, and a bookkeeper. “We run like a family,” Michael says. “Everyone is highly qualified and knows their role. I don’t have to micromanage because everyone just gets the job done.” This same philosophy extends to subcontractors and suppliers, many of whom have partnered with build2grow since day one. Michael notes, “Our trade suppliers work like a well-oiled machine. They know us, know each other, and are fully aligned with our standards and expectations.” Although build2grow does not actively pursue awards, the company has received recognition for its craftsmanship. One of its homes was recently featured on Australia’s Best Houses in 2024, a testament to the quality and attention to detail that Michael insists upon. “It is a proud recognition for our team and our suppliers. It shows the level of workmanship we deliver,” he says. Other notable projects include custom homes at the 13th Beach Golf Course Estate and a forthcoming heritage restoration in Geelong of a 107-year-old residence originally imported from the UK.
