20 projects per year and Steve believes that’s a good number. “We don’t have dreams of being a big builder,” he says. “Our dreams are about having a comfortable lifestyle and taking care of our families.” Eventually, Steve and Brett hope that their families will take over the business, much like they took over from Bob in 2005. Both have four children, and Brett’s eldest recently finished his Bachelor of Architecture with Honors and is working for the company, while continuing his studies. “Between our eight kids, I imagine the next generation of Dall Designer Homes is well and truly taken care of,” Steve says. “They are the future.” JANUARY 2026
