Demi Pressler-McHugh, the COO and second generation leader, talked to us about their history and versatility. In our talk with Demi, we also discussed some of the company’s recent landmark projects, including their work on Budget Car & Truck Rental Depot in Kensington, which won the category for ‘Retail Facilities up to $5 million’ at 2025 MBA Wide Bay Burnett Housing & Construction Awards. Demi described that award as “recognition of the level of detail, coordination, and effort that goes into all our projects.” Meanwhile, in the custom home sector, this issue also features industry leaders in My Style Homes and Portrait Custom Homes. The former is a Cairns’ most-awarded builder, specializing in homes built to the highest quality and specifications and tailored to Far North Queensland’s climate. The latter is a Perth-based builder of luxury homes and renovations, known for their customercentred, transparent approach and ability to solve technical challenges. We caught up with the leaders of both companies and talked about their passion for using local products.
