Jamie personally comes from a deep background in quantity surveying. Growing up in Ireland, he was drawn to the construction industry while still in high school, around 2006. At first, the allure was financial: the career promised solid earning potential. However, as Jamie progressed through university and studied quantity surveying, he discovered a genuine enthusiasm for the discipline. By the time he graduated in 2011 from Waterford Institute of Technology, his interest had transformed into a lifelong passion for helping builders and subcontractors manage complex project budgets with precision. The Global Financial Crisis of 2008 forced Jamie to reconsider his immediate future. Work opportunities in Ireland were scarce, particularly for quantity surveyors, so he made the lifechanging decision to move to Australia. Perth in Western Australia, less affected by the financial downturn and experiencing a construction boom, offered the opportunity he needed to develop his career. Initially intending to stay for only a year, Jamie quickly found a home in his new country, both professionally and personally.
